Why don’t you ride a bicycle feeling a breeze alongside of the lake ?
We meet at JR Tsuchiura station (which is 75 mins train ride from Ueno station on Jyoban Line) and rent a bike to set out on comfortable cycling roads. Feeling a breeze, we run alongside of the lake , then go through Ami Town with a little traffic, enjoying the seasonal changes in the scenery – plum , cherry blossoms, tulips, Japanese irises, water lilies, roses, lotus flowers, buckwheat, cosmoses and strawberries, sweet potatoes, melons, water melons, blueberries, grapes, etc. We visit the Great Buddha statue. (Actually, Buddhism is not a religion in some way, but the Buddhist path of life. Therefore Buddha welcomes and accepts all people to come. You can go up inside the statue and copy Buddhist sutra with peaceful mind of gratitude. ) We have lunch and do some shopping at Ami Premium Outlets. Of course you can take amazing photos at every spot. Terrain is almost flat with a few hills. Are you ready to hit the road ?
