TOKYO

Gion is the biggest Maiko & Geiko district in Kyoto. There are a lot of traditional Japanese tea houses with a unique atmosphere. But it’s very difficult to see and talk with the Maiko. In this tour, you can see the Maiko dance in front of you and talk with them up close. And of course, we have time to take pictures at the end. Before that, we will walk around Gion and introduce you to their culture!!

We went with Fuji-san on a tour to about geishas and maikos. After walking around the area learning about the gion district and people and the culture we visited a maiko and had time tour hear about her life and the descition to become a geisha. After this tour we have a lot of repect for these Girls :) Fuji was a very good guide and knew a lot about the culture in Japan and the people in general. She was good at english and we enjoy both her knowledge and self in general.

Great tour. Really enjoyed the Tea Ceremony with the young Maiko who we were able to speak with. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
