Maybe you have seen the picture of the Bamboo Grove in Japan at least once. It’s the highlight of Arashiyama! Arashiyama was a villa and a symbol of aristocracy more than 1,000 years ago. We also visit the beautiful traditional Togetsukyo bridge and Tenryuji temple with stunning gardens. Then we will walk around the Sagano area.
While walking, of course we can try many different types of foods, for example, croquette, deep fried fish cake with Yuba, Matcha tea and Japanese sweets and so on! You can taste some local street food on the way!

The tour around the Arashiyama area was great. We had just arrived so it was the perfect orientation. The food choices were okay. I would have preferred a little more variety. Three stops were fried food. The tour was really more culture than food although the food stops did make it fun.
The guide was very sweet and helpful although there was a little bit of a language barrier making it difficult to learn as much as we could have about the places we saw.
