I travelled with my family to Tokyo in July 2017. I arranged private guides for 5 days with Japan Wonder Travel. We spent two days in Tokyo, two days in Hakkone and Kamacura and one day in Nikko. Tae was our guide in Nikko. I can not say enough good things about Tae. Her English level is outstanding as she lived and worked in England and the United States. I believe she also lived in France. I do not speak French but am sure her level of French is also outstanding. We had a wonderful day with her. All my family connected with Tae inmediately. Having lived in the West she has the ability to perfectly accommodate to western tourists. My children did not enjoy as much other Japanese guides we met during our trip. They found some of them a little strict. They loved Tae. They said she felt more like a friend than a teacher (that is how they refered to some other guides in our trip) If you are looking to make arrangements to have a private guide in Tokyo I would definetely recommend contacting Japan Wonder Travel. They have many guides. Tae happened to be our guide in Nikko and we enjoyed inmensely her company.
