The biggest city in the west part of Japan, Osaka, has been known as the "Nation's Kitchen" because of its cuisine.

The "Kuromon Market" has supported Osaka's food culture for many years. Some local residents and professional chefs still come to buy high-quality food here. On this tour, we will walk in the Namba area and enjoy Osaka’s unique food and culture differences from Tokyo. This tour's concept is "Kuidaore". "Kuidaore" is an Osaka word meaning "To eat till you drop"!! Through experiencing delicious food and drink, you would learn about Osaka culture.

Our time in Osaka ended on a positive note when we attended the food and drink tour with Yuri. While it was only me and my wife that attended on Wednesday 22nd, we actually liked it more because of how intimate it was. This made it easier for Yuri to show us around. She even made time for us to do a spot of shopping since we have time to spare. The food we had was tasty, especially the okonomiyaki which we made ourselves. If we had to recommend anyone wanting to try Japanese cuisine, we would wholeheartedly recommend them to Japan Wonder Travel and specifically Yuri! Thank you!

The tour was a wonderful experience with Yoshika-Abi taking us to a number of little side shops and markets. The highlight was the okonomiyaki the big highlight. We had our small daughter with us and using a baby backpack were able to navigate the streets with no issue. The company were proactive in enquiring about our plans for our daughter and provide good information on the ability to not use a stroller. Yoshika-Abi was a pleasure to walk the street with and provided many interesting facts about not only Osaka but of Japan.

We had a great food tour in Osaka with our Guide Junko. We had the chance to taste different Japonese food and Junko also told us a little about Japan's history and culture We had a great time in Osaka and we recommend this tour to everyone!

Our food tour of Osaka’s Kuromon Market was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The marketplace and the food were wonderful, of course, but there was so much more to it. We learned about local Osaka idiom, how to select good sake, what are the best snack foods, and much more. Our host Tatsuya was superb. This tour gets my very highest recommendation.

Kaori was our guide, she was king, friendly, professional and informative. She explained everything about the food and its history of the places we went to. Wonderful experience with Japan Wonder Travel.

Our guide Yoshika (Abi) took us around for an unforgettable food tour where we got to experience truly authentic local food. Yoshika's knowledge of the area and history of Osaka meant we not only got to sample great food, but were given that extra bit of context which brought it all together. I highly recommend this trip if you're staying in Osaka!

The Kuromon Market tour was fantastic. Our guide, Yoshika, was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging! We tasted food that we would never of tried on our own. She allowed us extra time at a 600 year old knife shop where we purchased a beautiful chefs knife. We definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning about Osaka and tasting the local cuisine. Tip: start the tour hungry- the tour offers generous samples of different dishes.

Our tour guide, Tatsuya, made this a great food tour. We've done food tours in several cities around the world, but this was the most fun. The food samplings were excellent. Tatsuya customized the tour to suit our desires, and helped us with shopping for specialty products after the tour.

Outstanding food tour with Tatsuya, who was very knowledgeable and fun. We tasted many delicious foods - sushi, yakitori, dried ginger, and Osaka’s own takoyaki. Our favorite was okinomiyashi, a savory pancake with veggies, meat & seafood. We even helped make it! I highly recommend #japanwondertravel
