Do you like Japanese tea? Have you heard of Sencha (Infused Japanese tea leaves with hot water)? Matcha (Green tea powder mixed with hot water) is quite famous, but Japanese people do not drink it as often as they drink Sencha. In this tour, we pick tea leaves from a tea field and then roast them. Then you will be able to make your own tea as a souvenir. Tea around Mt. Fuji is very famous and super tasty in Japan. Come let’s learn in this hands-on experience how to make your very own Japanese tea!!

TOUR TIME
10:30 AM – 3:00 PM (4.5 hours)

[ITINERARY]
– 10:30 am Meetup at Shin-fuji Station (Bullet Train Station)
– 11:00 am Tea picking at the foot of Mt. Fuji. (If we are lucky, we could see Mt. Fuji.)
– 12:00 am Lunch & make your own Tea (dry>roast>rub>dry)
– Tea Lecture (Learn the differences between types of tea, How to make them, Etc…)
– 3:00 pm Finish at Shin-fuji Station

・It takes about 70 minutes by bullet train (Kodama, the slowest one.)
 – ( It is free if you have a JR rail pass.)
・If you don't have the pass, it costs 5,070 yen per person for one way.
・It's a non-reserved seat, so reserved seats require an additional 520 yen.

This experience was awesome. Very authentic and a lot of fun picking tea at the beautiful tea farm with Mt Fuji in the background. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in an authentic Japanese tea experience.
