Tsukiji Inner Market has been relocated on 11th Oct. 2018. It is the world’s largest market and called “Kitchen of Tokyo”, but because of this relocation, its huge inner wholesale area and consumer outer area have become separated into two parts.

Our Tokyo Food and Drink Tour takes you to the vibrant stores at both markets which sell the best quality foods. You will eat a variety of Japanese foods ranging from finger foods to delicacies. Our knowledgeable guides also deliver a lot of tips about the Japanese culinary culture during the tour. The tour will be concluded at an authentic Sushi restaurant with fresh Sushi.

We joined the tour with Yoshi and had a great time! Group was small, so the tour felt personal and relaxed. Yoshi had great insights into different bits of the markets, and we enjoyed amazing food and drinks we otherwise wouldn't have discovered on our own. Well worth the time and money, would recommend!

Excelent tour; our tour guide Yuko took great care of us, showed us the fish market and gave us thorough explanation of the Japanese food culture and took us around for tasting excellent food. Beyond our expectations. Thank you very much !

Yoshi is an incredible guide. Shared some of her favorite spots, favorite snacks, and a very welcoming introduction to Tsukiji Fish Market. Also recommended some of her favorite restaurants in Japan to try while on vacation. Would recommend.

Kiki was a lovely and informative guide. She showed us many interesting and unusual items. Would highly recommend this tour.

We had a great day with Tomo. She was very knowledgable and friendly, and we got to try some really nice food. We were so full by the end of it! Thank you for a great tour

Lily was a fantastic host for our foodie tour of Tokyo's fish markets, very knowledgable and relaxed which made the experience entertaining and enjoyable without the pressure of 'guided' tours which can seem very structured and pressed-for-time. We felt like like we were wandering through the market sampling food (and sake!) outside our usual comfort zone and completely comfortable doing so because Lily was was was explaining the products and manufacturing processes as we went - I never knew fishcakes are made from the entire fish, ground-up bones and all which is a great source of calcium for people like the Japanese who don't traditionally eat much dairy. The hilights were sampling super-fresh tuna sashimi in the rooftop picnic spot and learning that the paler pink fish is tastier because of the fat content rather than the deep-red flesh. But the amazing 'stand-up sushi bar' and the end of the tour was where we, who count ourselves devotees of good sushi, tried the best we've ever had, anywhere in the world.... the 'torched salmon' tasted like smoked butter. Absolutely amazing. Thanks Lily!

Wonderful tour! Every minute of the 4 hours spent with my guide Yoshimi was fun and informative. Yoshimi knows the people in the shops we visited such as the 81 yo man who served us sushi, and the family that makes the exquisitely sharp knives for cutting tuna, so we had wonderful conversations with them and had all our questions answered. The morning was topped off with our last stop at the sake stall where we had freshly ground wasabi with our tuna and sake. 1 gentleman in the shop added dried squid to our snack. If you love food and markets this will be the best morning you'll spend in Tokyo

Great tour! We saw things we would not have seen on our own.

Yoko provided our group a fantastic tour of both the new market in Toyosu as well as the historic Tsukiji market. She passed along great information on the facts and history of both locations. The tour exceeded expectations with the hands on experience of meeting many of the workers and vendors of the markets and sampling copious amounts of the freshest food.

Toshi, our guide, was calm and helpful! A wonderful tour for foodies who want to see both old and new markets. It’s not just fish either! We saw (and ate) so many delicious local foods. Recommend this tour!

Seevice Provided by Tak was sensational he made it a very interesting and informative day. It is disappointing you cannot go on the floor of the new wholesale market however as this would be a great expirence.

Fantastic! Tak was a wonderful guide: friendly, knowledgeable, and very well prepared. His English is excellent. He was happy to talk about any subject, e.g., he explained subtle differences between Shinto and Buddhism. And he expertly navigated both the newer Toyosu market and the busier Tsukiji Market. I'd absolutely recommend his services!

Had a highly enjoyable tour with the gorgeous Naoko, where I was lucky enough to be the only member. Naoko was full of history and facts which were showed how different and sophisticated Tokyo and Edo were during that time. I had a lovely introduction to the new Toyoso, and an adventure exploring the older Tsukiji. I would thoroughly recommend this company and particularly Naoko.

Tomo was our guide for the day and she was super pleasant! We got to see both Toyosu and Tsukiji markets and spent some time wandering the shops and buying various snacks/produce. It was the perfect pace and right amount of time spent at both markets. The best part was definitely the sushi lunch we had afterwards at a small hole in the wall restaurant. My family and I absolutely love sushi and this was definitely the best sushi we've ever had. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone - whether you like fish or not, this was a great way to explore Tokyo and learn more about the history of its fish markets.

Tour guide was very flexible and knowledgeable with the tour area and was able to answer my questions about about the Tsukiji and Toyosu markets and took time to answer additional question I had regarding Tokyo and Japan. I very much enjoyed this tour.

I had an excellent time with Kyoko-san on a solo tour of Tsukiji and Toyosu fish markets. I had very little planned and we wandered on Kyoko's defined path and when I saw something interesting we detoured. All and all very good and she certainly has good connections with many places you stop by and visit. If your interested in trying new foods including sushi she has all the information you could need.

We had a wonderful time on the tour! Eri was so knowledgeable and helpful; she helped us find all of the food omiyage that we needed to bring home. It was also nice that the tour allowed for time to stop at different stalls and shops along the way. Eri was always willing to explain what certain dishes were or translate for us. The tour also accommodated individual preferences; you could get natural grape juice instead of sake, for example. We definitely got a great feel for both the Toyosu and Tsukiji markets and left with a better understanding of their history and offerings.

We had a wonderful time viewing the new fish market at Toyosu and wondering around the old shops and stalls at Tsukiji on June 27, 2019. Our tour guide, Yoko-san, was fantastic. She was fluent in English, and she was great with both my 6-year-old son and my 88-year-old father. The food and drinks on the tour were all delicious. Our favorites were the chutoro (tuna) and fugu (puffer fish) that we got at Tsukiji. I also quite enjoyed the tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) and the sake from the street food vendors outside Tsukiji. We ended the tour with a nice sit-down sushi lunch. Originally, we were supposed to go to a stand-up sushi restaurant, but my son was getting tired, so we switched to a place where he could sit and relax. Although I would've liked to have tried the stand-up restaurant, I'm glad Yoko-san was able to change plans to accommodate everyone in our group. I'd happily go on another tour offered by Tokyo FooDrink Tour!

The tour was excellent. Initially I was planning on exploring the market by myself but I’m really glad I didn’t. Tsukiji has become such a tourist attraction that the hustle and bustle of the market can be very overwhelming. I am so glad I had such a great guide to take me through it all, she showed us so many things that I probably would’ve missed without her guidance. I ended up buying a beautiful Japanese knife at the market and my guide was so kind that she escorted me all the way to the tax free counter across the market so that I wouldn’t have to pay customs. The food was excellent and the tour was very eye opening. I learned so much and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Tsukiji fish market! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

Lilly was such a fabulous tour guide! I learned a lot about the Japanese food culture and got to try a lot of delicious and interesting food, fish, and drink through her. She is very passionate about giving these tours which is demonstrated through her willingness to adjust the tour to fit your particular interests and the amount of research she does to find the best and most authentic spots around the city. I was so happy to be able to meet her. :)

THE FooDrink Tour was fabulous. Tomo was a great guide and we learned so much about Japanese cuisine and had fun! The Fish Markets were very interesting and we enjoyed the tastings and meeting the purveyors. Tomo provided history and context to everything we experienced. We had some delicious sake and sushi which Tomo picked for us and even bought us some dried mix so I could use the miso I bought to make soup at home. We also appreciated Tomo's help with returning to our hotel on the right subway and especially helping us buy the right pass. We recommend this tour to start off your Japanese adventure!

We had a wonderful time on our tour with Kazu. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about Tokyo and the fish markets, but he was just a great person to spend 4 hours with. Without a doubt, we wouldn't have seen or understand 70% of what we saw without his expert guidance and knowledge. We had a blast and would highly recommend it and him specifically for any english speaking guests. It was well worth the money and made our last day in japan really memorable. A few examples of the extra (above and beyond things): we were able to see parts of the old fish market that we wouldn't have been able to without him, he helped us find the Kabuki theater and let us know we could get "1 act" tickets for 500 yen ($5 dollars), he showed us this incredible sword store, AND he sent us all our pictures aftewards. Great guy , great tour!
