Very informative tour with 4 other people. We really had a great time laughing and eating. Our guide Naoko was wonderful. She was kind and caring. Would definitely recommend to English speakers and also great for a solo traveler. Thank you Naoko-san.

I had an amazing time on my food and drink tour of Tsukiji and Asakusa. My tour guide, Skip is a very nice guy, he was very helpful, kind, and informative. He was also very accommodating and always trying to ensure everyone on the tour was happy. One of the tourists in our group wasn't fond of many of the raw foods we had, and elected not to eat what we ate. She didn't ask for any alternatives and was fine with just skipping some foods, but Skip always tried to offer another sweet alternative, one she would eat as a replacement. I thought this was very thoughtful and almost uncharacteristic of most tours, who are usually unconcerned with individual preferences, unless you gave them advance notice. This is the reason why I think #JapanWonderTravel deserves this good review. They had the good foresight to hire skip and provided a fun and tasty tour! You definitely get your money's worth (lots of good food and drinks, including sake). But also, everything is well taken care of, like paying for the transit ticket from Tsukiji to Asakusa, paying for all the food and drinks, you just have to enjoy!

We thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour with our outstanding guide, Asaka! There were only three of us on the tour plus Asaka, which made for a more personal and leisurely experience. Asaka provided a wealth of information as we walked along the streets and through the alleys of the fish market. We stopped at various food stalls to sample a variety of local delicacies such as Japanese omelettes, at least two different types of tuna, fried seafood cakes, dried bonito, and more. At one point, we sat down in a quiet area above the market to enjoy a snack of tuna and strawberries. Later, we stopped for a taste of sake before proceeding to a sushi restaurant for lunch. It was interesting watching the sushi chefs prepare the food as Asaka explained how it's typically done. From there, Asaka accompanied us on the Tokyo subway to Asakusa, where she took us up to a viewing platform to see the Sensoji Temple and surrounding area. This was a nice vantage point from with to view the temple, away from the crowds below. We then made our way down Nakamise Market Street to the temple itself. After Asaka explained a few interesting facts about the temple, we walked a short distance to a small restaurant where we enjoyed some tea and coffee along with Japanese sweet bread. The bread was very good! Before the tour ended, we had time to try and catch some small goldfish at one of the nearby shops, which was fun. The tour was excellent and we highly recommend it as part of your visit to Tokyo!

We had an excellent tour with Eri. Not only did we learn a lot about various food items but she also intermixed information on Japanese culture and traditions. Our only regret was that after over 5 hours of touring, we still felt like we wanted more. This feeling was directly related to the excellence of Eri's interaction with us and the interesting information gleaned from being with her.

We had a great tour with Asaka! She was wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and warm. We learned so much and enjoyed every minute!

It is really best program. I think it is the best way to feel the atmosphere of Tsukiji market. Tak was best guide.

The outstanding Tsukiji market and lively Asakusa area tour was led by our friendly guide Tomo. She adapted the timing and content of the tour according to our centre of interests. It was great to check out a Temple and a Shrine, sample a large selection of food and drinks, eat in traditional standing sushi bar and exchange about our cultures. Arigato gozaimasu!

I had a truly excellent time experiencing Tsukiji, Asakusa, and the Japanese food culture. I really appreciate the hospitality and extra time taken to make this a really wonderful experience. Traveling alone can be lonely at times so that was a really refreshing to tour with Mari. The fresh filleted tuna was one of my favorite foods, and enjoyed the refreshing beer from the Izakaya at the end of the trip. I left so full I could not eat dinner that night. I hope to travel back to Japan in the future as has such wonderful culture.

We had the most fantastic tour of the Tsukiji Market and follwed on with Asakusa tour. Our tour guide Chihiro was wonderful and explained really well everything about the food, markets and Japanese culture. We sampled so much food and even got to go into a kitchen of the one of the popular Omelette stalls. We saw much more and had a much better understanding that if we have gone to the market by ourselves. The lunch that was included was excellent and again Chihiro taught us about the proper eating of Sushi. I would definately reccomend this tour and thought it was great value. If you do the tour, only have a small breakfast before you go because you have the opportunity to eat lots of samples! Thank you

I really enjoyed the tour. Eri was a great tour guide - she was thoughtful, excited, and spoke very strong English. There was an elderly couple who cut the tour short as they were tired of walking and she ran out and found them a dessert to eat later on. She also was great at offering suggestions when I had questions. For instance, I wanted a print to bring home and she took me to a really good place to buy some. I would highly recommend the tour and tourguide.

Wonderful tour by our guide Sachimi! She knew the local vendors and was able to provide very good explanations in English.

An excellent guidet trip through the fish market.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Our guide, Yoshie-san, is excellent. She is knowledgeable, kind, and goes out of her way to make sure all is good. We had an incredible time, walking the fish market and garden, eating pretty much the entire time (fantastic food and samples all across the market), and learning about everything we were seeing. I wish I had booked other tours with this company while we were in Japan. I will know better next time we visit. Truly an outstanding experience and I highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore, eat, and enjoy Japan.

Your tour was fun and very enjoyable. We understand a lot more what we are eating as we continue our tour because of what you showed us.
by Kim and Garry (04/24/18)
What a blast! I learned so much today about the markets in Tsukiji. The Asakusa area was really beautiful. Going around and tasting all the food while learning from Chihiro how it was made was a pleasant time and I will gladly take another tour when I get the chance. It was all so Oishi!
by Alec-san (03/12/18)
Kazu was great! We did the fish market tour and took a detour to Ginza. Loved all the food we tasted and Kazu knew so many great stories to share that made the tour so much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour if you visit Tokyo. Kazu has the inside track at the fish market :-)

I do food tours whenever I travel. This was the best food tour that I have ever had! Our guide was excellent. She was a pleasure to spend the day with.
by Dr. Mom (02/19/18)
Eriko was fantastic, great knowledge, beautiful polite manner. We got to try everything we wanted. A truly great experience, doing the fish market tour on your own and without Eriko would not be as good. With so many stalls and food it would be so overwhelming! Thank you Eriko!
