We had the most fantastic tour of the Tsukiji Market and follwed on with Asakusa tour. Our tour guide Chihiro was wonderful and explained really well everything about the food, markets and Japanese culture. We sampled so much food and even got to go into a kitchen of the one of the popular Omelette stalls. We saw much more and had a much better understanding that if we have gone to the market by ourselves. The lunch that was included was excellent and again Chihiro taught us about the proper eating of Sushi. I would definately reccomend this tour and thought it was great value. If you do the tour, only have a small breakfast before you go because you have the opportunity to eat lots of samples! Thank you

I really enjoyed the tour. Eri was a great tour guide - she was thoughtful, excited, and spoke very strong English. There was an elderly couple who cut the tour short as they were tired of walking and she ran out and found them a dessert to eat later on. She also was great at offering suggestions when I had questions. For instance, I wanted a print to bring home and she took me to a really good place to buy some. I would highly recommend the tour and tourguide.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Our guide, Yoshie-san, is excellent. She is knowledgeable, kind, and goes out of her way to make sure all is good. We had an incredible time, walking the fish market and garden, eating pretty much the entire time (fantastic food and samples all across the market), and learning about everything we were seeing. I wish I had booked other tours with this company while we were in Japan. I will know better next time we visit. Truly an outstanding experience and I highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore, eat, and enjoy Japan.

Your tour was fun and very enjoyable. We understand a lot more what we are eating as we continue our tour because of what you showed us.

What a blast! I learned so much today about the markets in Tsukiji. The Asakusa area was really beautiful. Going around and tasting all the food while learning from Chihiro how it was made was a pleasant time and I will gladly take another tour when I get the chance. It was all so Oishi!

Kazu was great! We did the fish market tour and took a detour to Ginza. Loved all the food we tasted and Kazu knew so many great stories to share that made the tour so much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour if you visit Tokyo. Kazu has the inside track at the fish market :-)

I do food tours whenever I travel. This was the best food tour that I have ever had! Our guide was excellent. She was a pleasure to spend the day with.

Eriko was fantastic, great knowledge, beautiful polite manner. We got to try everything we wanted. A truly great experience, doing the fish market tour on your own and without Eriko would not be as good. With so many stalls and food it would be so overwhelming! Thank you Eriko!

Fantastic tour. Guide was informative and only too willing to help through the tour, but also point us in the right direction of other sites we wanted to see. As for the food. Wow... fantastic and we were very very full afterwards.

Highly recommend this Food & Drink tour. Our guide, Toshi, was excellent in explaining the various kinds of food that we had sampled. Our tour to the Tsukiji Fish Market was very interesting and our visit to the district of Asakusa was the highlight. A great place to walk, shop and eat with a visit to the Sensoji Buddist Temple. Overall, it was a great tour!

For a peak (and taste) into all that is Japan - the efficiency, the energy, the precision, the passion for food - this tour of the fish market has it all. Our knowledgeable guide whisked us through the hustle and bussle of the inner and outer markets and treated us to the special tastes of Japanese food. We highly recommend it.

This tour was anticipated as we had experience with our local produce markets and were anxious to compare and learn. Our guide,Yuriko had excellent knowledge of the local shops and their owners, the layout of the whole area and the best places to visit. We enjoyed oysters, the best omelette, various offerings of merchants in the markets, were shown how to drink saki, enjoyed sweets. The sights and sounds of the markets were amazing. The highlight of the day was the lunch at a tiny but exquisite sushi restaurant where lunch was made in front of us with any question willingly answered. We would have no concern in recommending this tour and particularly Yuriko as a guide.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Tsukiji and Asakusa tour with our guide Yoshika. She met us at the Tsukiji Honganji Temple and expertly guided us through the temple before proceeding to the outer Tsukiji Market. We literally ate and bought our way through the outer market, tasting so many wonderful kinds of seafood and buying so many things to take home for ourselves and friends and family back home. We then went into the inner market to see what it looks like. Our tour was after the regular morning rush. I can’t imagine what it is like during the “rush hour”, and I know I preferred the non-busy time. We still got to see a lot, including the cutting up of several large tunas. We got to stop and take pictures without getting in people’s way. Also most of the stalls still had ample quantities of their wares on display and for sale. The last part of our tour was Asakusa. The shopping and food stalls leading up to the Senso-ji Buddhist temple are so much fun to see and browse. So colorful and animated. Inside the temple itself is a place of relative calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the market and Tokyo itself. Our guide made the tour fun and interesting. There were no questions that we posed that she did not have a knowledgeable answer to. And we made so many unplanned stops at shops selling things in the outer market of Tsukiji but Yoshika took it all in stride even though it must have played havoc with the normal schedule.

Yuko was our tour guide and she was fabulous! She was approachable, flexible, and more than happy to teach about the local cuisine. She walked us through the market (our favorite part) and took us to the best stands. We ended the tour at a dessert/tea shop that served dessert so good that the kids still talk about the sweet bread filled with ice cream. Yuko then gave us recommendations for restaurants and the best routes for transportation. Thank you for a wonderful day Yuko!
by Nikka (08/09/17)
My tour guide Yukio is intelligent, fluent in English, and very concerned with my well-being. My tour was really informative about the operation of the Tsujiki Market and the enormous variety of food sold there. I learned a lot about Japanese cuisine, as the variety of food sold in the outer market goes well beyond fish. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a great tour! Sashimi was lovely and so knowledgeable. She took her time and shared with us so much interesting information. It was a great way to see the inner and outer fish market and Asakusa and a wonderful way to kick off our trip. Thanks!
