My husband and I took this tour our first day in Tokyo and it was a fantastic way to kick off the trip. Make sure you come hungry! We got to taste so much good food that we wouldn't have known to try otherwise. Our guides were incredibly personable, kind and very knowledgable. My favorite parts were eating tuna at the outer fish market and the sushi experience at the end. I 100% recommend this tour!

Thank you for an amazing tour! We loved it! Yuko is such a knowledgeable and charming tour guide. The fish market is big and overwhelming but Yuko made it so much fun. We tasted all sorts of delicious food -- the tuna tasting and sake tasting were highlights. Thank you for a great morning!!

Yuriko was our tour guide and we couldn't have asked for a better tour. She spoke very good English and was extremely knowledgeable about both the inner and outer markets. She navigated us through the many different alleys and market stalls to taste raw oysters, sashimi, egg omelette, sake (amandarin orange juice for the kids), and other delicious snacks. Yuriko also did an excellent job following up on our questions before the tour and accommodated any food allergies our family had. We ended with a delicious sashimi lunch at the end. It was a fantastic experience overall!!

I loved this tour with our guide, Kazu. He showed us so much of the Tsukiji market and the surrounding landmarks like a Buddhist temple and Shinto shrine and answered our questions about the area. All the foods we ate were so tasty and it was wonderful watching them get made too like the sushi and tamagoyaki. He took very good care of us and made sure we had time to rest from all the walking. He also took so any great photos of us and sent them to us right away! He really went above and beyond on this tour and it was definitely a highlight of my first trip to Tokyo. I recommend it for anyone's first time there.

This food tour through Tsukiji market was an amazing opportunity to get an introduction to Japanese food lifestyle and the area. Our guide Yuriko was both entertaining and knowledgeable not only about the market but as well about the surrounding area. A must do tour when in Tokyo

I loved this tour. Toshi was fantastic. I had several people tell me that the Tsukiji was the top attraction I should see in Tokyo. I really felt I saw more of the market as well as a better understanding of the market by using this tour. We had a great time tasting food the entire tour and you won't walk away hungry. You sample at several stalls along the way and finish at a sushi restaurant. Its a great morning. 5 stars

I had an excellent morning with my guide Mari, who was so patient to show me around the outer market and explaining the different foodstuffs. I got to sample such delicious tamago, oysters and sake. I would highly recommend this private tour :)

Hiro was such a lovely knowledgeable guide and she fitted in the things we wanted to do and see without any fuss. She was so calm and relaxed and we enjoyed the half day trip so much. I recommend this trip to anyone and it was so much more enjoyable as there were only four of us and our guide. The yummy oysters, the sake and the sushi and all the yummy food we got to taste and the trip to the fish market. She also went out of her way to help us and the other two people on our tour to get to our next ventures after the tour was finished.

This was our first time in Japan in this tour was the prefect way to get to know the country! Our tour guide Yuko was absolutely the best. She answered all of our questions and even directed us to the correct train at the end of the tour, making sure we didn't get lost to our next destination. It can be scary going into a country and not knowing the language, but with Yuko there we were at ease. Her english was very good and she was always caring and looking after us. I know it was her job to do so, but it felt more than a tour, it felt like going through an experience with a friend. If you're ever visiting Japan I highly (HIGHLY) recommend to go on this tour, especially with Yuko!

We had a terrific time at Tsukiji Fish Market. Yuriko was a perfect host, very friendly, knowledgeable, and lively. Thank you, Yuriko! We loved seeing all the varieties of fish products. We especially liked the great tuna sashimi at the Intermediate Wholesalers Market, the sake from traditional wooden cups, and the delicious sushi lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will highly recommend the tour to all our friends who visit Tokyo. Thanks again and arigatou gozaimashita! ありがとうございました! The Dimmicks

WE WERE HAVING A GREAT TIME, with Ms. Hiroko. Every step, every bite was excellent. We would highly recommended this tour. We were oooh so late, due to "lost in Japan Railways", we texted the said number, and was pointed to the direction and THANKED GOD, we still could catch up with the entire tour. We were having a great time. Thank you. note : the trip to Yokohama Chinatown was great, thanks for pointing out the direction. Love.. Love.. Love..

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We both love Japanese cuisine and wanted to learn more about it. The markets are fascinating and being able to try a variety of fresh foods and dishes was exciting. We tried a good variety of things that I wouldn't have known about or tried if we were on our own - like dried crickets, the gigantic oysters, roasted vs marinated soy beans, sake (drunk from a cedar box) made at the only sake brewery in Tokyo, shrimp and onion fritter-like skewers, and more! Our guide Kumi was lovely. The sushi at the end of the tour was definitely our favourite. In fact, it was the best sushi we've ever eaten!!

Well organised tour and totally worth to go. As the first time visitors of japan, we're glade that we joined the tour with very nice and knowledgeable guides. It's a very good chance to get to know the locals' life. Highly recommended.

We had good time. Everywhere we went there was something interesting to learn about. Our t guide Yoko-San was excellent she had good knowledge of the culture and was able to answer all our questions. Yoko has good English so communication was not an issue. Also Yoko had considerations for our cultural differences and was able to accommodate us without taking away from the experience of our tour. Thank you my family and I had a good educational and enjoyable time! This tour is good for all ages you have to be adventurist with the food.

Yuriko was our guide for the Tokyo FooDrink tour on 5/17/17, and she was an excellent guide. It was an amazing experience visiting the Tsukiji Market, and the food tasting was a wonderful and delicious. Yuriko explained so much about the workings of the market and was so knowledgeable. She went out of her way to help us reconnect with others in our group who were doing another Japan Wonder Travel Tsukiji Market tour. This was very helpful to us and required extra effort on Yuriko's part. I would highly recommend this Japan Wonder Travel tour and Yuriko in particular.

Our Tsukiji fish market tour yesterday was excellent. Ikuko was our tour guide. She was the best, fluent English, very pleasant and very friendly. My family of 4 not just learned about the Tsukiji Fish Market but we also learned a lot about the Japanese culture and food in that 3.5 hours thanks to our wonderful tour guide. Walking around the outer market seeing all kinds of food and got to taste them was very nice, very oishi. The inner market was a little disappointing, not seeing the auction because of some restriction, but other than that everything went very well. We strongly recommend this tour to everyone and Thank you Ikuko for a wonderful time.
by Dan D. (06/14/17)
We absolutely loved the tour and it is a 'must' for anyone visiting Tokyo. The tour company constructs the tour to be very personal--there were only 5 of us including the guide. Our guide Hanna clearly knew the market well and was able to facilitate some great tastings with the vendors (even a couple not on the initial agenda)! Probably most importantly is the fact that it didn't feel like a tour--Hanna was more than happy to run with our questions and interests. At one point we even spent a few minutes discussing Shinto at a nearby temple after a tour member expressed some curiosity about something she noticed. Great tour and would highly recommend!
by Matt & Rada (06/13/17)
Reiko was an excellent guide! I wouldn't have explored the inner market in its entirety without being part of the tour. The staff are also very friendly and prompt in their email communication. We even got to take a complementary souvenir home! Thank you for a wonderful time!
