Yuriko was our guide for the Tokyo FooDrink tour on 5/17/17, and she was an excellent guide. It was an amazing experience visiting the Tsukiji Market, and the food tasting was a wonderful and delicious. Yuriko explained so much about the workings of the market and was so knowledgeable. She went out of her way to help us reconnect with others in our group who were doing another Japan Wonder Travel Tsukiji Market tour. This was very helpful to us and required extra effort on Yuriko's part. I would highly recommend this Japan Wonder Travel tour and Yuriko in particular.

Our Tsukiji fish market tour yesterday was excellent. Ikuko was our tour guide. She was the best, fluent English, very pleasant and very friendly. My family of 4 not just learned about the Tsukiji Fish Market but we also learned a lot about the Japanese culture and food in that 3.5 hours thanks to our wonderful tour guide. Walking around the outer market seeing all kinds of food and got to taste them was very nice, very oishi. The inner market was a little disappointing, not seeing the auction because of some restriction, but other than that everything went very well.
We strongly recommend this tour to everyone and Thank you Ikuko for a wonderful time.

We absolutely loved the tour and it is a 'must' for anyone visiting Tokyo. The tour company constructs the tour to be very personal--there were only 5 of us including the guide. Our guide Hanna clearly knew the market well and was able to facilitate some great tastings with the vendors (even a couple not on the initial agenda)! Probably most importantly is the fact that it didn't feel like a tour--Hanna was more than happy to run with our questions and interests. At one point we even spent a few minutes discussing Shinto at a nearby temple after a tour member expressed some curiosity about something she noticed. Great tour and would highly recommend!

Reiko was an excellent guide! I wouldn't have explored the inner market in its entirety without being part of the tour. The staff are also very friendly and prompt in their email communication. We even got to take a complementary souvenir home! Thank you for a wonderful time!

We enjoyed our tour with Yukio.
Even though tourists were not allowed inside the Tsukiji Fish Market as of the day our tour was scheduled, Yukio found a way to help us see it.

Masae is a charming young woman. Her command of English is excellent. She was great with our teenage daughters. She is an outstanding ambassador for Japan and I would love to have her again as a tour guide.

This tour was fantastic and one of our best memories in Tokyo. Our guide Yuko was very nice, caring and answered all our questions.
This tour is a good way to taste a lot of typical Japanese food (sushis at the end of the tour are amazing!) and to better understand the culture.
I highly recommend it!!!!

This was a great tour and I highly recommend it. The fish market can be overwhelming and having a guide with us allowed us to understand the different stalls and their sytles. Sayoko was very friendly and knowledgable. Despite the rain she gave us a great tour and we were really happy with our experience.
If you want to see the market, but not get up at 3am this is definitely the way to go!

We had an amazing time on our tour of Tsukiji market even though it was a rainy day. Our guide Nanako was excellent. She was friendly and knowledgeable and catered the tour to our interests. The rain seemed to make the market more mellow and Nanako said we were able sample a lot more things than usual. The vendors were also very friendly and would happily talk about their goods. The tour never felt rushed, and it was like walking around with a close group of friends. Maybe it was because we were doing a lot of eating on top of learning interesting things but I felt that it was the best tour I had in Japan.

Thanks for the wonderful tour. We had 2 guides since we were a party of 8. The food was great and will definitely come back again.

Our family toured the Tsukijii fish market with Reiko on a very rainy day. Reiko was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who made the tour special. We learned a lot about Japanese culture and tasted some interesting food that we might not have tried on our own. This was definitely a fun tour.

Sachi was an amazing guide through the Tsukiji Fish Market and we couldn't recommend her more highly!

I really enjoyed this tour and got to try many different items which I would not have done otherwise. My personal favorite was the mochi manju with strawberry on top!! Now if I can just figure out where I can get this at home. Guess we'll have to come back to Japan! Next time I will do the sushi tour as my wife and son really enjoyed making all that food and they didn't even share, but ate it all. Thank you Yuriko for taking such good care of us and making sure I met up with the rest of my family.

The tour was really good and we enjoyed to be part of it.
We had the chance to discover the Tsukiji market and the guide was really helpful, making her best to explain and we taste the best things you can find on that market.
The tour is only with a maximum of 4 people.
I really recommend it.

We spent nearly 4 hours on Saturday morning wandering around Tsukiji fish market, with friendly Noriko as our guide.
We had a lot of fun, tasted many Japanese food and discovered so much about Japan culture.
The morning went far too quickly and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo.

My husband and I loved this tour! Lily was such a wonderful guide - explaining everything in the market, chatting about cooking, and picking up tasty morsels for us to try. It's a pity (but completely understandable) that tourists aren't allowed in the inner market during the auctions, but I was still in awe walking through later in the morning. Definitely a tour to add to your list if you're an exploring foodie.

This tour was excellent and very enjoyable. Our guide Nanako was able to answer all of our questions and was clearly very knowledgeable about the best places to sample. We got to try a wide range of adventurous and delicious foods in the outer market from fish cake to sake to the largest oysters I've ever seen, all the whole learning a lot. We also got a great insight into the inner market on our tour there. I definitely felt I got the most out of my time at the fish market by being on this tour, and would not have been able to get the same experience if I had just walked around myself. And after all the tastings, the tour culminated in a oishi sushi lunch at a restaurant enjoyed by locals. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

We were in Tokyo and wanted to experience Tsukiji Market without waking up at 5 AM. This was perfect. By then, the crowds were gone and we were able to catch a glimpse of the fish and vegetable market. Our guide Kaoru was wonderful. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She offered lots of insights into the culture of Japan. We really enjoyed everything about our tour. It was also personal as there was only 1 other couple in our group. 5 stars!

Great time checking out Tsukiji with our new friends and Noriko! Very informative tour guide with great food along the way. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to find out about the fish market and authentic Japanese culture.
Thank you Noriko!

Really enjoying activity!
Our guide was very informative, friendly and pleasant! I would recommend not to have breakfast before taking the tour as the food is more than enough :-)
I also enjoyed a short visit to a shrine and a temple where our guide also shared with us very interesting info on japanese religion.

The tour was one of the greatest I ever had, the guide has complete knowledge about the Japanese culture, the places are awesome, specially the last one where we ate sushi like locals.
You have to take this tour in your next trip to Tokyo

It was a well planned combination of history and information, tasty treats led by a great guide that showed much passion for her work.
Thank you Nanako-san and Yu-san.

Our walking tour of the Tsukiji Fish Market with Sayuri was well-worth it. There were so many different food items to try but we wouldn't really know what they were if we didn't have a guide with us. Most of the items are labeled in Japanese, and it really helped to have someone explain to us what it is and what it's for when cooking. Left on our own, we would not sample the food items that we don't recognize, and we would have totally missed out because the ones Sayuri recommended were all yummy.
It was also interesting to hear about other details of the outer and inner markets. The history, transactions, etc. If you want to make the most out of your visit and sample many tasty treats (without regrets!), definitely try the Tsukiji fish market tour!
