So awesome! Our guides were amazing, we had a full tour of very yummy food and learned so much. We would highly recommend getting a tour guide to visit the market to get the most out of the experience and absolutely using FooDrinkTour!

Mami San was our tour guide. She was really good. Her english was smooth and we had a lot of fun going around the common areas as well as the secret nooks and crannies of the market. The food samples were good but the big sushi lunch at the end of the tour was tummy filling. Recommended two thumbs up!

Hoshi-san, The tour was of great value and you were very informative about the history of Tsukiji market. I would like to say thank you for being kind and patient to wait for those few minutes for my two late guests. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting. Hope to see you soon too, in 2020. Regards Debra, Masahiro, Maxine and Tom

We loved out food tour with Yuko! We enjoyed getting to see the food stalls outside of the fish market with someone who could explain what everything was and also made sure we sampled lots of fun foods. At the end of the tour, Yuko brought us to what seemed to be a locals-mostly sushi bar which had some of theist sushi we had in Tokyo. This tour was most definitely one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo.

We had an amazing time on our food and drinks tour of Tsukiji market. One of the most fun experiences we have all had. Our tour guide was Yuriko san. She had such a vast knowledge of Tsukiji market and the surrounding areas, which made everything she explained to us was interesting and fascinating to us. Yuriko san was very accommodating in replacing certain food that some members of our party can not eat to something delicious that we all just had to try too. We were able to sample an array of delicious food on this tour as well as see some stall vendors/shops that have been at that same location for over 100 years!! Selling some of the freshest produce and food that we had the good fortune of trying. I recommend anyone coming to Tokyo and wanting to visit Tsukiji market to join this tour. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Yuriko san for giving us this fun and memorable experience that we just can not forget.

Kazu was very knowledgeable and knew all the ins and outs of the Fish Market. We had a great time at both the inner and outer market! The food chosen was a good variety of things.

This was such a fantastic tour . Our tour was only 5 and Yoshi was our guide, who is awesome. She gave us great tips and inside info. She did s a respected guide amongst the vendors both in the Outer Market but also the Inner market, the starting location is to your right of the Metro station, all of our “my handy” and google maps directions had us circumnavigate the shrine before reaching the front. Other hides meet at the shrine gates so it is easy for them to spot us and us to spot the guides. Thank you for allowing us to shop as we went. Do this tour!

It was an enlightening experience in going through the Tsukiji Fish market! Eri and Yu were knowledgeable and superb!

Ayako and Yukiko were absolutely wonderful. After a short and informative introduction including a small, well designed menu card for our tour and some useful Japanese words, we began walking through the outer market as a group. At each stop, our guides told us about the foods, the utensils, the shops, the history, and (our favorite part) how everything we were being introduced to was being used or incorporated in their own lives. Their honesty and willingness to answer questions made this tour personal and informative while feeling like we were just exploring with new friends. We happen to be lucky, they told us, because there were many tuna heads and bodies for us to see the day of our tour. They guided us through the inner fish market, which on our own would have been a chaotic maze of fish, styrofoam containers and fast carts. With Ayako and Yukiko we were able to enjoy the unique sights of the inner market while not having to worry about getting lost or being run over by a cart. They were so diligent about asking thought provoking questions and pointing out interesting fish and produce. After some sake, a quick stop and introduction to a shrine and finally, sushi, we parted ways feeling filled with knowledge and joy from a great morning at the Tsukiji Market. Thank you Ayako and Yukiko! We look forward to meeting you again next time we visit Japan! Note: They brought us each a bottle of water, which was really nice to have for the tour since we were eating so much food. They also offered to take our picture often and pointed out restrooms. We felt extremely comfortable and taken care of!

I booked this tour for my husband's birthday present and I was glad I did. Sachimi was a wonderful tour guide who spoke very good English and made us all feel at ease. She explained about the local area including temples and shrines, showed us around the inner market (not something I would have liked to do without a guide) and took us on a great tasting tour of the outer market. We finished the day at a great standing sushi restaurant. The sushi was delicious. Sachimi arranged a cucumber sushi roll for my daughter (who doesn't like sushi) and the friendly chefs were very obliging. We had a great morning and would highly recommend the tour. We would now be more confident in tackling the market on our own in future as I suspect without Sachimi we would have missed some of the best shops. Thank you

A great tour, Toshi guided us round the outer market, tasting as we went and we even found the "shark skin" wasabi grater we wanted. Although centred around the amazing fish market, the fruit and veg section was equally impressive, the temples interesting and the food selection excellent. Toshi was a delightful host, providing an excellent commentary, spoiling our granddaughter with treats ( all very oishi) and answering all our questions. A great way to visit , highly recommended.

This was our second booking and we love Japan Wonder Travel. Toshi was our tour guide and he was wonderful. His English is excellent and he is very accommodating. He is also very knowledgeable and we really had a great tour

My family had a memorable morning with Hiroko chan, she was not only knowledgeable with the market, she was delightfully easy and all of our needs. As I have elderly parents in our group, she professionally engaged the youngest member to the eldest. We had more than a tour leader, we had a friend with us. I highly recommend this tour. As I was early waiting for the rest of my group I also had the opportunity to meet 2 other tour guides from Japan Wonder Tour. I was so happy to meet all of them, they were charming and always engaging. Thank you for organizing this tour!

The Tsukiji Walking Food Tour with Maki was wonderful! We were able to try delicious food while learning more about the culture. I highly recommend it! Thank you very much for a great time!

We loved our tour of the Fish Markets with Sammy. The markets were very busy and quite overwhelming so it was great to be able to follow someone who knew their way around. Sammy told us many interesting things we would not have known had we walked around the markets by ourselves. She was kind enough to follow up with restaurant recommendations for our stay. We would definitely recommend this tour to other travellers. Olivia & Joel, Sydney, Australia (Dec, 2017).

One of the ‘must do’ tour in Tokyo. The fish market sells all kinds of interesting food, we also get to taste variety of snacks and interesting Japanese food. We bought a lot of things in this market. Our tour guide Tomo-san was very helpful and experience, she showed us to the inner market where we saw several huge fish were cut into pieces (this was the highlight of our day). The sushi that included in the tour were very delicious. It was an excellence tour very personalised and we really enjoyed it.

Scheduling this tour was one of the best decisions we made during our trip in Japan. We were so fortunate to get Kazu as our tour guide. He was so full of knowledge and positivity energy. I had a 4 year old child with me so he made so many accomodations for me during the tour such as keeping a slow steady pace and serving extra treats for my child. Word of advice, EAT PRIOR TO THE TOUR! Lol, I thought it was a good idea to go on the tour hungry so I didn't eat breakfast. Bad idea! I got a hunger headache which was not satiated by the sample foods we received during the tour. The headache turned into nausea and being nauseous while touring a fish market is not fun. But Kazu was SO nice about it! He let me sit as much as possible and he even had my sushi packed to go since I couldn't eat it. I highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I had a great time on the food tour of tsukiji with our guide Lily and another guide in training Sumiko (please forgive me if I have the wrong name) on the morning of 20th December 2017 and one other traveller. We had great weather and the tour went just as well. Both guides were very friendly and spoke great English. Lily was super nice and funny and very knowledgeable. I asked about dried natto snacks that we had years ago and she kept a look out for it while we walked, which we ended up buying. She took us to sample the delicious foods that were on the itinerary and stopped by several other stalls that weren’t. Lily also got us to try a very very delicious orange! Sounds like it was nothing special but that was the best orange I’ve ever had! The walk through the inner market was full of obstacles and I swear some of those cart drivers were aiming for us. So definitely watch out for them. She gave us many tips in Japanese essential cooking and I will definitely use them. The tour started with my backpack being almost empty and finished with it being almost full. Overall it was an excellent trip and I would highly recommend anyone thinking about booking this and just book it!

My wife and I had such a wonderful tour with Kazu! Upon arrival, he greeted us with bottles of water and we had pleasant introductions with the other members of our small group. Before we entered the market, he provided an in-depth overview of the history of the market and the changes coming in the near-future. Throughout the tour, Kazu answered every question we had - from food to social interactions to the cultural significance of the various foods in Japanese society. Kazu clearly knew his way around the fish market and personally knew many of the vendors. This allowed us “back stage” access to several booths (and buildings!) and several additional samples that were not on the standard tour. We finished the tour at a lovely sushi restaurant just outside of the market. This was a welcome change from the chaos of the inner-market. Afterwards, Kazu even walked around the Ginza area with us to point out a few more of the interesting sites and explain the history of Ginza. Simply put, we could not have asked for a better experience! We can’t wait to get back to Japan and tour even more areas around the country.

Had the tour with Kazu Kato - the tour was very enjoyable, informative and tasty! Kazu Katon was the best tour guide I've ever had - extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and absolutely went above and the point of showing us some other sites on his own time and with no charge, and also emailing us with extensive tips on Kyoto that turned out to be very useful. Would highly recommend the tour, and Kazu Kato! Darren

We liked the tour very much. We were a small group of 4 people. Our guide (Sorry I unfortunately forgot the name) was very personable, friendly and happy and laughed a lot. She responded to our questions and took her time. Overall a very interesting and exciting tour. Recommended !!!!!
