Great start to our Japan trip! Got up early our first morning to what ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our excellent guide Mami showed us around the fish market and gave us lots of information about food culture and Japan in general. In addition, everything we tasted was delicious. Bring cash to buy whatever catches your eye while browsing the market. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I had a superb tour with our guide Yoshino. It was a highlight of our trip to Japan. She spoke excellent English and guided us through the different parts of the fish market, with tastes of different foods followed by a really nice Sushi lunch. We felt it was one of the best investments made in our trip. I highly recommend it.

Hi Chihiro, Sorry this has taken a while! Monica and I just want to thank you so much for taking us around the Fish Market and helping us enjoy such fantastic, delicious food along the way! We are particularly tankful (and impressed) that you took the time to research and advise us on the Sumo training session in Ryogoku. We managed to walk to the venue and our jaws dropped in awe when we were shown the entrance and looked down upon the magical sight. A true highlight that we didn’t think was possible.

We had a fantastic time with Japan Wonder Travel food and drink tour in Tsujiki market. Yu was incredibly knowledgable and led us to the best places in a huge market. Recommend highly!

Tour is well recommended for anyone who wants to explore Tsukiji Market especially for the first timers as it can be quite overwhelming with all the food choices to explore. Our guide, Yuko was a charming Japanese lady who provided us with a brief history of the area and also an in-depth explanation about the market itself. Bring cash as market vendors normally trades on cash basis only and does not accept any credit card. You get to see the basic ingredients of your favourite Japanese dishes in this market and also to sample one of the freshest seafood that you will ever taste in your entire life. Tour ended with a nice sushi lunch at a nearby restaurant which was a local joint.

If you love food, you will want to see this market with a guide. There is so much to see and taste, you will miss something great without a little bit of guidance. We thought this tour was great, well paced, large servings of food. We did Japan Wonder Travel's Kyoto food tour as well, it is a well organized company providing great tours!

Our tour was really fantastic. It showed us a side of Tokyo that we never would have seen or discovered on our own. We also sampled and tasted foods that were foreign to us and were so happy to try them out under the guidance of our tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour.

This is a fabulous tour and is THE way to do Tsukiji. I lived in Japan for 18 years and had never been and upon bringing my wife here I thought well now is the time. Tsukiji is a working fish market with many stalls to try different Japanese foods. Skip, our tour guide, knows all the great stalls to go to and has a vast knowledge of Tsukiji. He is also able to talk to the shop owners and get you "behind the scenes" to watch how the cooks make certain foods. The wholesale market area is really intense and you will 100% get lost without a guide. The sushi lunch at the end is the perfect way to relax! Thank you so much for this incredible trip.

This tour was fantastic. We loved it so much this is the only destination that we visited twice while in Japan. Our guide, Itsuko, was fantastic and we enjoyed everything from the stops that we made at the various stands to eat the "oishi" food to the wonderful history of the Tsukiji Fish Market. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!

This tour was amazing!! Naoko was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable about the Tsukiji Market and the history of Tokyo in general. More importantly, she was very friendly and warm, and she made the tour fun. She took us to many great food stalls and we feasted on Japanese omlettes, fish cakes, bonito, sake, green tea, sushi and oysters. She bought us little gifts and she came equipped with plenty of water on what was a blazing hit day. After the trip, she helped me plan the rest of my day on Tokyo and her recommendations were perfect. I highly highly recommend this tour.

Nao is a very enthusiastic and entertaining tour guide! It was a pleasure touring the Tsukiji Fish Market with her and learning all the interesting facts about the place. Seeing everything that is involved in processing all of the seafood in the inner market was incredible! We were also treated to some exceptional street food! Well worth the money spent!

This tour was amazing! Our local guide Yoko was priceless to have by our side. Ate and saw things that wouldn't have been possible had we gone on our own. Fantastic experience!

Our tour guide Tomo was excellent. She met us at the meeting place with a friendly smile and explained to us how and where the fish market tour would go. The food we tasted on the tour was fantastic. So fresh. The tour was at a good pace and Tomo navigated us expertly through the crowds and we had plenty of time to stop at the stalls and eat the food Tomo had selected for our tastes. Our stand up sushi lunch was fantastic. The chefs making our selected sushi right in front of us. We highly recommend this tour when you visit Tokyo. Ask for Tomo.

This was an excellent and very interesting tour. Plenty of great food to eat and a chance to see the world famous fish market before it moves. Our guide was first class with good English skills, very patient and helpful in dealing with minor issues that developed and a varied knowledge of not only the fish market, but Japanese cultural topics as well. Great job Asaka :)

We were very impressed with this walking tour of the fish market and really enjoyed the insights. It is great introduction to authentic Japanese foods. Even though we had visited the market before we had a much better understanding having walked on this personal tour. We would certainly recommend it to anyone and have already mentioned it to a number of our friends. We also appreciated that it was a very small group – otherwise you just feel “left out’ or can not hear in larger groups. The final lunch was one highlight. Very sophisticated and relaxing to sit at the end of the tour and savor fresh sushi in the small hidden gem of a restaurant/bar. Mari is a great tour leader and very well prepared. Simple, plain English and quite entertaining. As it was only four of us she was also able to custom make to our interests and went out of her to ensure we saw and tasted everything of special interest. Great value for money as the food sampling and lunch was generous and satisfying.

We had a beautiful guide, she was knowlegable and was lovely.
by AngenH (04/18/18)
The tour was very interesting and especially precious since the market is to move soon to another location. Yuko was an accomplished guide, not only because she guided us through all parts of the tour with a perfect sense of orientation, useful hints and information and a wonderfully friendly attitude, but because she let us name our favorite japanese foods and tailored some specific parts of the tour accordingly. At the concluding sushi lunch, she also gave us very useful tips for the rest of our journey. The souvenir cups were a very nice and unexpected touch. The most interesting part is clearly the inner market, so pay particular attention during this part of the tour.
