Fantastic tour with Yuko. Had a lot of fun and got lots of information and great food.

This tour is a wonderful way to start a trip to Tokyo. My family (two adults and one 13-year-old) love food and thought a tour of Tsukiji Market would be a great introduction to Tokyo. We were not disappointed. Our guide, Yuriko, is very knowledgeable, professional, and mindful of her guests' comfort. We had a thorough tour of the outer market and sampled a number of items, including Japanese omelet, sashimi, katsuobushi, tea, and sake. All the food and drinks were excellent. We also toured the inner market; the stalls were shutting down, but we still got a good idea of the market setting and were happy to see this part of the market before it relocates this autumn. The tour ended with a delicious sushi lunch at a small restaurant near our starting point. We could not have been happier with our experience. Our group was small, making it easy to move through the market as it got more crowded with people, and made the tour, overall, feel more personal. We highly recommend this tour!

An excellent tour with plenty of food. If you are not a big eater it may pay to skip breakfast! Last chance to stand on the original floor before the Fish Market moves. Thank you Kazu - san

We had a lovely morning with Skip, who was thoughtful and knowledgeable. This tour included some things we were not expecting, such as a large tuna fileting demostration and a very nice sushi lunch afterwards. Despite the heat, we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!
by Claire (07/13/18)
Very informative tour that included stops at many local shops, tastings of several types of food, lunch and even a Tuna carving demonstration. No way we would have experienced all of this on our own without a guide. Amigo-san was very friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable. He was definitely the best guide we had during our trip to Japan.

Mari was absolutely fantastic. Her pleasant demeanor and knowledge of the Fish Market made for an enjoyable and educational morning. What I especially found impressive was Mari's ability, willingness, and patience with each of the group members to find their individual interests in the Market and to adjust the tour accordingly. Not an easy task but greatly appreciated. Thanks for a great tour and a perfect way to start a day in Tokyo.

Wonderful tour of the outer and inner fish markets with Yoshi. She’s very knowledgeable, kind, and made sure we were all happy with every course of the adventure. Great way to introduce this interesting and vibrant area of Tokyo!

We booked the Tsukiji tour knowing that we wanted a knowledgable person to show us the world renowned fish market. Yuko-san not only knew the physical layout of the market, but she also shared with us some of the history, and facts regarding the market and its vendors throughout the tour. Yuko-san, thank you for providing such a memorable experience, and providing us a glimpse into the Tsukiji fish market!

We booked our Tsukiji tour for our first morning in Tokyo and were so glad that we did. We learned a lot of lessions that were helpful the rest of our trip (e.g. how to say, "that's delicious!"). It was so wonderful to have Eri there to guide us through the fish market. She pointed out interesting snacks, and even helped us order our first set of uni (it's not for everybody)! Eri was a wonderful guide and we were so happy to be part of her tour. I'm thrilled that we got to tour tsukiji with her and the rest of our lovely tour mates.

Thank you for such a wonderful morning yesterday. Our tour guide Yoshka helped us to see and experience so much more than we could have possibly done by ourselves. The food tastings were totally oishi and that magic bag of of hers never seemed to be empty always producing just what we needed at the right time. The market tour and temple visit was certainly more than we imagined Thoroughly recommended tour

Had any amazing Tour of Tsukiji during our first day in Tokyo. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed tasting the various foods available. We had our 13 year son who loves Sushi and he really enjoyed being able to try super fresh seafood right where the auctions take place. Would strongly recommend the tour.

We did this guided tour our last day in Tokyo and it was by far my favorite part of the trip. Our tour guide, a local named Tomo, was the sweetest woman and knew quite a few of the vendors, which led to a lot of free samples and behind the scenes looks at how the food was made. There were so many exotic, delicious kinds of food and I tried every sample available. The tour includes small bites along the way such as fresh ahi, a sweet omelette, fishcake, and sake (with an adorable souvenir wooden box), and concludes with a trip to a standing sushi bar where the chef picks out ~8 delicious types of fish for you to try. I would highly recommend doing this tour! Worth every penny!

We had a FABULOUS time at the Tsukiji Fish Market with Sachimi! She led us though the market with ease and with great explanations of what we were seeing. We consumed Japanese omelet, fried fish cake, fresh oyster (ahi if you don't eat oysters), cherries, Japanese tea, Katsuobushi, sake and sushi. I highly recommend this tour for the first time and returning Tsukiji visitors, it makes a big difference when you have a seasoned shopper guiding you! Thank you Sachimi! :)
by Shelly (06/12/18)
The tour is deep and wonderful. You could see different aspect of the market. The guide is passionate and love to share the story of the place. A great experience to have.
by W (06/11/18)
Our guide Nanako was great! She explained all sorts of things about the market and -most importantly- knew the best stalls to eat at. The sushi I had in her tour was hands-down the best sushi I had in 12 days in Japan. I did the tour with my mom and two sisters. What we loved the most was that Nanako provided a genuine experience. She wasn't just telling you about the market, she was in the market with you. She also adjusted the tour for the things we were interested on (e.g. I love ceramics and she found the best stall for that). The tour was worth every penny.
by Maiga (06/09/18)
It was a really great where we learn a lot about the Japanese food and culture. We also had the change to try the best sushi and other local foods. The tour guide was really nice and make us feel really comfortable.

We had a great time on this tour with Toshi! The fish market is huge, so having a knowledgeable tour guide was so helpful in order to see the entire market and learn about the different areas. We also had the opportunity to try many different kinds of foods which are unique to Japan. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is planning a trip to the Tsukiji Fish market!
by Anjali (06/04/18)
Mari was fantastic. Fun and informative tour. Tour really isn't the right word - it was like a knowledgeable friend took us around the market
