Excellent informative tour. Had lots of fun seeing and tasting lots foods. Seeing how the seafood is processed. Amazing tour.

A great tour, Toshi guided us round the outer market, tasting as we went and we even found the "shark skin" wasabi grater we wanted. Although centred around the amazing fish market, the fruit and veg section was equally impressive, the temples interesting and the food selection excellent. Toshi was a delightful host, providing an excellent commentary, spoiling our granddaughter with treats ( all very oishi) and answering all our questions. A great way to visit , highly recommended.

This was our second booking and we love Japan Wonder Travel. Toshi was our tour guide and he was wonderful. His English is excellent and he is very accommodating. He is also very knowledgeable and we really had a great tour

My family had a memorable morning with Hiroko chan, she was not only knowledgeable with the market, she was delightfully easy and all of our needs. As I have elderly parents in our group, she professionally engaged the youngest member to the eldest. We had more than a tour leader, we had a friend with us. I highly recommend this tour. As I was early waiting for the rest of my group I also had the opportunity to meet 2 other tour guides from Japan Wonder Tour. I was so happy to meet all of them, they were charming and always engaging. Thank you for organizing this tour!

The Tsukiji Walking Food Tour with Maki was wonderful! We were able to try delicious food while learning more about the culture. I highly recommend it! Thank you very much for a great time!

We loved our tour of the Fish Markets with Sammy. The markets were very busy and quite overwhelming so it was great to be able to follow someone who knew their way around. Sammy told us many interesting things we would not have known had we walked around the markets by ourselves. She was kind enough to follow up with restaurant recommendations for our stay. We would definitely recommend this tour to other travellers. Olivia & Joel, Sydney, Australia (Dec, 2017).

One of the ‘must do’ tour in Tokyo. The fish market sells all kinds of interesting food, we also get to taste variety of snacks and interesting Japanese food. We bought a lot of things in this market. Our tour guide Tomo-san was very helpful and experience, she showed us to the inner market where we saw several huge fish were cut into pieces (this was the highlight of our day). The sushi that included in the tour were very delicious. It was an excellence tour very personalised and we really enjoyed it.

Scheduling this tour was one of the best decisions we made during our trip in Japan. We were so fortunate to get Kazu as our tour guide. He was so full of knowledge and positivity energy. I had a 4 year old child with me so he made so many accomodations for me during the tour such as keeping a slow steady pace and serving extra treats for my child. Word of advice, EAT PRIOR TO THE TOUR! Lol, I thought it was a good idea to go on the tour hungry so I didn't eat breakfast. Bad idea! I got a hunger headache which was not satiated by the sample foods we received during the tour. The headache turned into nausea and being nauseous while touring a fish market is not fun. But Kazu was SO nice about it! He let me sit as much as possible and he even had my sushi packed to go since I couldn't eat it. I highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I had a great time on the food tour of tsukiji with our guide Lily and another guide in training Sumiko (please forgive me if I have the wrong name) on the morning of 20th December 2017 and one other traveller. We had great weather and the tour went just as well. Both guides were very friendly and spoke great English. Lily was super nice and funny and very knowledgeable. I asked about dried natto snacks that we had years ago and she kept a look out for it while we walked, which we ended up buying. She took us to sample the delicious foods that were on the itinerary and stopped by several other stalls that weren’t. Lily also got us to try a very very delicious orange! Sounds like it was nothing special but that was the best orange I’ve ever had! The walk through the inner market was full of obstacles and I swear some of those cart drivers were aiming for us. So definitely watch out for them. She gave us many tips in Japanese essential cooking and I will definitely use them. The tour started with my backpack being almost empty and finished with it being almost full. Overall it was an excellent trip and I would highly recommend anyone thinking about booking this and just book it!

My wife and I had such a wonderful tour with Kazu! Upon arrival, he greeted us with bottles of water and we had pleasant introductions with the other members of our small group. Before we entered the market, he provided an in-depth overview of the history of the market and the changes coming in the near-future. Throughout the tour, Kazu answered every question we had - from food to social interactions to the cultural significance of the various foods in Japanese society. Kazu clearly knew his way around the fish market and personally knew many of the vendors. This allowed us “back stage” access to several booths (and buildings!) and several additional samples that were not on the standard tour. We finished the tour at a lovely sushi restaurant just outside of the market. This was a welcome change from the chaos of the inner-market. Afterwards, Kazu even walked around the Ginza area with us to point out a few more of the interesting sites and explain the history of Ginza. Simply put, we could not have asked for a better experience! We can’t wait to get back to Japan and tour even more areas around the country.

Had the tour with Kazu Kato - the tour was very enjoyable, informative and tasty! Kazu Katon was the best tour guide I've ever had - extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and absolutely went above and the point of showing us some other sites on his own time and with no charge, and also emailing us with extensive tips on Kyoto that turned out to be very useful. Would highly recommend the tour, and Kazu Kato! Darren

We liked the tour very much. We were a small group of 4 people. Our guide (Sorry I unfortunately forgot the name) was very personable, friendly and happy and laughed a lot. She responded to our questions and took her time. Overall a very interesting and exciting tour. Recommended !!!!!

This was my 2nd tour with Tokyo FooDrink Tour, and I will say that the Tsukiji Fish Market tour is well worth it! You'll have a much fuller experience with a local guide who knows the ins and outs of the market and the key stores/owners inside. i went with my family this time (previously, with friends) and we learned a lot about the history of the market, its operations, and tasted some great food along the way. Our guide, Yuriko-san, was amazing! She went above and beyond her responsibilities as a guide and even helped us find a particular gift item we were looking to bring back. An awesome experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting Tokyo!

What an excellent experience we had on our Tokyo Foodrink Tour Tsukiji with our awesome guide Yoko. She kept our tour on a leisurely and fun-filled pace, and her expert knowledge made it interesting and educational. The little bites along the way kept our taste buds and tummies satisfied, highlighted by a delicious nigiri sushi lunch at the tour's conclusion. Yoko was by far the best guide we've ever had on any walking tour anywhere. We would highly recommend this tour and Yoko to anyone!

Tomo! We had such a wonderful time on your fish market tour. I learned a lot and really enjoyed all the info you shared! And, of course, my belly was beyond full. Perfect size group with the other lovely couple from Singapore. Loved both the outer and inner market areas too - so much to see and learn. I feel lucky to be able to visit the old market before the move next year. What a fun day!!!! Thank you! Next time we visit your wonderful city you can count on us selecting another tour from your company.

The Tsukiji Fish Market was one of the top highlights of our visit to Japan! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, well-spoken, friendly, and engaging. We couldn't possibly say enough great things about our guide, Yuko! The fish market and local restaurant was so incredible, we decided to visit a second time before returning home to the United States. We were also fortunate enough to make friends with the other couple in our tour group. We ended up spending the entire afternoon together! Overall we had a great experience!!

Sachimi went out of her way to make our Tsukiji tour wonderful. She had perfect knowledge of the whole site and its history as well as facts about food and drinks around the market. Sachimi gave us extremely free time to walk around and taste food, browse and enjoy the hectic life in Tsukiji, never rushed us in any way. If you have the chance to ask, request Sachimi. You will not be disapointed!

Thank you for an amazing trip around the fish market of Yoshika, our guide. Yoshika, gave answers to everything we needed to know. She even told a lot about what we saw, bought and recommended tastings. Even our grand daughter, Liva, was allowed to taste oysters, she insisted, even though we did not think she liked it. Which she either could not. Yoshika was a really pleasant, caring and skilled guide. We were seen / experienced a lot, and was tired afterwards. Thank you for a very nice experience.

We had an amazing time touring Tsukiji fish market with Yukio. We're not usually tour group people but this experience was totally worth it, We would never have gotten the same perspective on the market if we had tried to do this by ourselves. The group was small, Yukio speaks excellent Engish and he had a tonne of insight and information to share as we walked through the market. We got the opportunity to sample a lot of different foods and the sushi lunch at the end of the tour was fun and delicious. I definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting Tokyo!

First I would like to say that our tour guide today Sachimi was GREAT!!  She was very knowledgeable and very friendly and fun.  She answered all of our questions, even some not related to the tour.  Me and my mom and the other couple in the group all had fun with her.  I'm going to highly recommend this tour company and tell my friends who are going next year to ask for Sachimi.  Thank you for a great tour.  And again, please thank Sachimi for a wonderful time today. -Khoa

I booked Tsukiji fish market tour with Japan Wonder Travel. It was a great choice since my tour was guided by Sayuri (Lily). She was very knowledgeable about the market, an excellent guide with very good English. We had many stops at different fish vendors were tasted various delicious bites (included in the tour) anything from Japanese omelette to bonito flakes and of course great sushi and sake . The tour included going through all of the three markets at Tsukiji, the outer, middle and inner. Lily did an excellent job guiding and educating us about Japanese food at the market which included much more then fish and seafood. It is huge market and I do not see myself navigating through it without a guide. The tour ended with awesome sushi lunch at small place well known and recommended by locals. Great experience on my first trip to Japan.

Took the FooDrink Tour at the Tsukiji Fish Market on a very rainy day, but that didn't stop it from being absolutely fantastic! Definitely a worthwhile tour. I now have a new favorite sushi spot in Tokyo.

My family and I were greeted with the most welcoming and friendly guide for our Tsukiji Fish Market food/drink tour. The tour was well organised and our guide (Chinese speaking) was very attentive and knowledgable. She allowed for flexibility during the tour, and even helped us stop and do some shopping along the way. We tried a range of local cuisine and were even taught how to eat sushi properly! The menu was delicious! The tour was well worth it and I would highly recommend it as the Tsukiji Fish market was so big, it would have been so easy to get lost, and not get to explore the entire market.

Wonderfull!!! Highly recommend this friendly tour. Lots of laughs and a great time.
by John (11/08/17)
Highly recommended. The fish market was very interesting and while you could certainly go and walk around on your own, our guide showed us a lot we would have missed without her. The tour group was small (4 people in our case), which always makes a much better tour in my opinion, and we were able to ask plenty of questions, take extra time anywhere we wanted, and even learn some of the ins and outs of Japanese culture which was really helpful for the rest of our trip. A lot of delicious food (including a full sushi lunch) and even a sake tasting was included in the tour and made the tour cost seem like a downright bargain at that point. Unexpected highlights were tasting the best Japanese omelet I had on my 2 week trip and even getting a behind the scenes look at how they make the omelets, as well as seeing the attached vegetable market where I tasted the most absurdly delicious grapes (did not think a grape was capable of tasting like that, also, they were pricy and not included in the tour but I could not resist getting some). We did this tour on our first morning in Tokyo and walked away that afternoon feeling like the bar had already been set high for the rest of our time in the city.
