We had a great time touring the fish market with Mari! She was very energetic and knowledgeable. She was super informative and taught us many new things. She also made sure to show us the specific shops or stores that we had mentioned to her! She made the tour extra special and we will definitely recommend this tour and Mari to any friends that come visit Japan!

Yeonmi-san is one of the best guides we've had. She spoke excellent English and was funny, personable and a caring person. We had torrents of rain during our tour but Yeonmi did not let that deter us from having a truly wonderful time. She kept the tour highly interesting and stopped at many places to explain the foods we were seeing and what the merchants were doing. She entertained with stories and was humorous and a real joy to be around. She made sure each person on the tour were taken care of. We had 6 people on our tour and she managed to make us all feel welcomed. At the end of the tour, she added strawberries to the list of foods to try which was a real delight and very kind of her. She even offered to give us tips for our trip to Kyoto in a few days. Our family said this food tour was the best tour we've had in Japan.

Our tour guide Yuki was very good in answering our questions and showing us around the market. I initially booked this tour because a busy market like this can be quite intimidating to comb through and I am really glad that I did. Had a lovely time and the food was amazing!

An excellent tour with Ms Sachiko Matsuda. Our group is small, just 5 of us, so Ms Matsuda was able to provide very personal interaction with us. She is also very knowledgable and passionate about the place. Lunch at the end of the tour is also very nice.

We had a great time! Definitely show up hungry, because the eating starts immediately and goes on for hours. The guide could not have been nicer, and kept the entire group engaged. He was excellent.

the tour was very nice and our guide very kindly and very available with us. the unique problem is not to see the new food market with all the activities

We had a great time and enjoyed eating all of the different foods in the market! We would highly recommend this tour.

Sometimes going to a food market can be overwhelming and that's why I love food tours like this! Asaka (sweetest guide ever) explained many food items to us and pointed out food items like wasabi root, which I wouldn't have recognized otherwise. She even took us to a smaller temple and explained the process of washing your hands and mouth at the purification fountain at the entrance. This really helped my husband and me at the following temples we visited. And back to the food! Come on an empty stomach, because you will be stuffed by the end. We ate the famous sweet egg omelette and Asaka led us to the back of that store so we could watch the process of making an egg omelette (very mesmerizing). She pointed out amazing shops we may have overlooked if we went solo. It was a wonderful amount of food and we took a small break to sit on a rooftop overlooking the market and the city to eat fresh tuna. This food tour was a great starting point of our first Tokyo trip.

The tour was a lot of fun and provided some history of the area, which I value. The only thing I wished for more was to see more commercial aspects of the fishing industry in the area , such as where the fishermen bring in their catch and the auctions .

We really enjoyed this tour with Toshi-san. We walked through the fish markets and tasted many delicious foods. It was interesting to see the local vendors and points of interest. This is great for foreigners to get an inside view of the japanese food industry. Toshi is very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the sashimi and sushi!

Our guide was overall fantastic. Her knowledge of the market visited as well as the food sampled during was exceptional. The market food was oishi (delicious) I would definitely recommend this tour to any food lover visiting Tokyo.

The Fish Market tour with Kiyoka (Kiki) was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! Kiyoka expertly guided us through the hustle and bustle of the crowded market and answered all of our questions. The food we sampled was oishii (delicious) and we even got to see behind the scenes preparation of Japanese omelettes. There was a brief rain shower during our trip but we hardly noticed as Kiyoka took that opportunity to show us around the indoor fish market. Kiyoka ended the tour with a stop in an authentic sushi restaurant that was so delicious we went back for more at the end of our trip. I highly recommend this experience!
by Rachel (04/19/19)
This food tour was amazing!! Naoko was a delightful, enthusiastic guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the food culture of Tokyo. The food itself was absolutely fantastic the whole way through - one thing to note though is to make sure to bring your appetite because after all of the tastings during the tour, there is still a very large plate of sushi to eat at the final stop!
by Leanne (04/10/19)
