Asaka was a wonderful tour guide--So thankful for her knowledge and expertise. I've been to Japan before when the full market was open. I was sad to see it closed and I knew that I wouldn't have been able to do it justice when bringing my family back to the location this year. So the tour was recommended in my opinion in that it was informative, interesting and we benefited from her translations and her tips to finding the best eats. Additionally my brother in law has Celiacs and prior to booking, the company was promptly responsive to our requests to accommodate his food limitations. The one area I'd push back on is the pricing. We didn't the quality of food we expected for the payment we provided ($85 per person for an egg pancake that was about $2, three pieces of Premium grade sushi around $10 and a Sushi lunch around $10). We didn't go hungry by any means, we just hoped our $85 per person fee would cover a bit more interesting food options. They had the advantage of taking us to many shops that provided free samples. Wish we could have had more substantive items to try. However that is separate from the actual experience we had with Asaka who really went out of her way to show us a good time! Please send our regards to her, she was so kind, so fun and truly wonderful to my family!

The tour of Tsukiji Market was really fun and educational. Our guide Tomo fielded all of our questions and made sure everyone was well cared for and learning!

This was a fantastic tour. Yuriko went out of her way to create a fantastic experience for us. She is extremely knowledgeable and always put what we saw in the fish market in the context of general Japanese culture. Come to this tour a bit hungry. There were plenty of samples as we toured the fish market, including many pieces of freshly cut sashimi, which were elaborately cut with a very long knife right in front of us. This was then followed by a full sushi lunch at the end. Yuriko used the tour as an opportunity to also show us a Buddhist temple and a Shinto shrine, always interposing very interesting observations. She even walked us to places she recommended we visit after the tour. In conclusion, the tour was excellent and interesting, and Yuriko, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and interesting to listen to.

Thank you, Japan Wonder Travel and Mazda, for a fabulous tour! We loved it - our tour was terrific, the food was fantastic (and plentiful!), and we would recommend this tour to everyone. It exceeded expectations!

At first, I suggested this tour was like another tour. Apparently, this tour is not only satisfying our eyes with beautiful places, but this tour is like a multisensory tour. The tour guide who drove us not only explained what we saw, but far more than what we expected. She started the tour with the history of the Tsukiji market, and its current conditions. I have been to Tsukiji market twice. But our tour guide still brought us to the place I had never visited. During the tour, she showed us the food for sale and asked us to taste unique and delicious food. And this is interesting, as Muslims we ask for food restriction for pork and alcohol. Ms Lily really looked for halal food so we could taste the food at Tsukiji with ease.

Amazing tour with Yoshino-san. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Yoshino-san was informative and engaging with us. Our group comprises of only 6 people including both of us. She was attentive and we had a blast sampling all kinds of Japanese food. The tour started at a Shinto temple and ended with an excellent lunch at an authentic standing sushi bar! This tour exceeded my expectations and I would recommend newcomers and seasoned travelers to Japan try this!

Yoshika was the perfect guide at the Tokyo fish market! She had so much insight and was very helpful answering every question we had. Our group was small and therefore it was very relaxed. Thank you again Yoshika, we had a wonderful experience because of you!

A month has gone by since my family visited Tokyo, and this review is seriously overdue! TLDR version: •Our Tour Guide Kyoko was well-versed in English •The sites and stops along the tour are meant to provide a view - and taste - of the Tsukiji Fish Market. Be willing to try new tastes! •Enjoy your time - this is a fascinating tour of one of the largest wholesale markets in the world. The long version :) Our day began with a quick taxi ride from our accommodation in Shinjuku to the Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple, where we met our Tour Guide Kyoko-san. While waiting for additional members of the tour group to arrive, we enjoyed pleasant conversation with Kyoko-san, whose English skills are excellent! She provided my daughter Julia with a Japanese name - "Mariko", and that causes us to smile each time we reminisce about our visit to Tokyo! We also took a few moments to walk through the Hongan-ji Temple and explore it - an unexpected bonus, and we appreciated being able to do so. On the tour, Kyoko took time to explain at each location/vendor what was being prepared, a little background and history, and we sampled the following: •Japanese omelet •Fried fish cake •Fresh tuna •Japanese tea •Katsuobushi / okaka •Sake •Sushi I advise having a very light breakfast when starting this tour in the morning, as there is more than enough food to carry you through lunch. After the last stop - where we enjoyed sushi - Kyoko-san kindly provided instruction to get to the nearby Ginza shopping area, which was a very brief walk. Thank you so much for the experience, Tokyo FooDrink Tour and Kyoko-san! John, Jennifer, Julia (Mariko-san) - Three J's "#Japanwondertravel"

Our tour guide Yoshino was fantastic. This was our first morning in Japan and it proved the be the best start to our trip. Yoshino led us to the temple to explain some history, we then weaved our way through the market alleys, sampling food and hearing about history & different products along the way. Finishing with stand up Sushi restaurant was the best thing ever! I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Japan. Best way to kick-start our 3 week journey here.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our tour with Chihiro! She was incredibly knowledgable, fun and kind to our kids. They were so sad when the tour was over and we couldn't hang out with Chihiro any more! We got the opportunity to really know the Tsukiji market and to try many, many different foods. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Great tour and a greater tour guide. Came into japan knowing jack about Japanese culture n customs. I’m both honored and lucky to have our tour guide Kiyoka show us the way. She was super nice and very knowledgeable about not only the fish market but in all aspects of japan. We got to see and try many things I never even thought existed and nothing was a disappointment thought the whole day. Also was lucky to have such wonderful and colorful characters in my small group which make it feel more like a team(rather than just people you have to walk with just cause we all paid for the same thing)Plus with our great tour guide at the helm also taking some time aside for all of us get to get to know each other a little better. Usually a lone traveler on vacation and in life it was really nice for once to have some sense of belonging in this particular tour group. Props for everyone for being so helpful and understanding of the huge slowpoke that I am. Tour turned into adventure which was truly eye/tastebud opening as much as fun.

We had a wonderful time with our guide Kiyoka and we would recommend her without hesitation. She answered our questions, explained everything, and seemed to have a very good rapport stall holders. She packed the three hours with interesting information. I would rate the tour ‘Excellent’! John

Super Tour with testing. The best guide with good knowledge. Tanks Eivind and Elisabeth, Norway

This was one of the first things we did once we arrived in Tokyo, and it was also probably one of the most fun. Kiyoka was our tour guide, and she was so wonderful. She asked each of us what our favorite foods were and what we were interested in trying, and then, when possible, she made it a priority to ensure we each had the opportunity to try out what we requested. Kiyoka and all the market vendors were so friendly and inviting, and the food was spectacular. It should also be noted that the tour was more than just the food listed. So many vendors had samples of their products for tasting, and we must have tried one of everything available, and ended up buying snack foods for the rest of our trip. I would've come back every day for lunch if we had the chance. I'd recommend this tour to anyone wanting an authentic food/market experience or anyone new to Tokyo. It is an ideal tour for any age or group number.

We had a great time touring the fish market with Mari! She was very energetic and knowledgeable. She was super informative and taught us many new things. She also made sure to show us the specific shops or stores that we had mentioned to her! She made the tour extra special and we will definitely recommend this tour and Mari to any friends that come visit Japan!
