Skip was a wonderful guide who helped us to get familiar with Tokyo at the start of our week. Highly recommended!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our private tour with Kazu-san! His explanation of Japanese history and culture was insightful and interesting, and he provided a great mix of historical and contemporary facts and attractions. He was flexible and accommodating to our interests and needs, and he was willing to go at whatever pace we were up to or whatever we wanted to see.
Kazu-san has a wonderful disposition and he is extremely pleasant and funny, and he got my pregnant wife a "maternity badge" for the metro which was very thoughtful and considerate. (These are displayed to identify a pregnant woman and she was offered a seat on a full train, and was given priority access at a museum exhibition).
He is a wonderful guide and it was our pleasure spending time with him, and we will see him again the next time we visit Tokyo!

I booked a private tour with Noriko to show me where the locals hang out in Tokyo and to get a genuine and authentic understanding of the culture. Noriko was the sweetest tour guide I have ever had. She had an answer for every question I had and went above and beyond explaining the culture in Japan. She took me to places off the beaten path that I never would have experienced or found on my own. She was worth every penny and so much more. She genuinely made my trip to Tokyo one I'll never forget!!! Thank you Noriko !

He rememberd all our names, and even talked to the children so thay felt iocluded. He showed us many intresting things and also explained every thing we asked for in a intresting way. We are very pleased with the tour.

A very interesting walking tour with Yuki in the streets of Yanaka and Kagurazaka. Some of Tokyo’s oldest wooden buildings, now housing little shops, workshops and private residencies.
Shrines, one with a beautiful Japanese garden, another one with hundreds of azeleas in bloom... With Yuki’s explanations to what we saw - a delightful afternoon.

We had Yoko as our guide for the tour and she was wonderful! Charming and well informed, she took us around Meiji Shrine and Asakusa Shrine and also around Shibuya where we were staying. We had our kids with us, one of whom was on a stroller, so we were slow but despite running behind schedule due to the kids, she never tried to hurry us or skip over things. The kids were quite sad to leave her in the evening. Your company is lucky to have employees like her and we will be sure to use JapanWonder Travel next time we want a guide in Japan.

4 hours is not enough time to see a small part of Tokyo, she was helpful but we felt in a hurry all the time. Our suggestion is to offer only 8 hours tours in Tokyo.

Fantastic Tour Guides - we really enjoyed our experience in Kyoto and Tokyo. Japan World Travel provided various guides and tours and arranged baseball tickets and train tickets, etc.. Yeonmi was a fantastic guide for several days. Really great with our 12 year old kids and informative about the city.

We recently had a wonderful time touring Tokyo with Yuriko Kimura. Yuriko is a very experienced tour guide who introduced us to several iconic places while expertly managing the crowds and our energy. She is delightful to spend time with and could relate extremely well to everyone in our family. We all enjoyed learning about the culture and sights from her.
Yuriko took us to Sensoji temple and to a delicious Ramen lunch with a vegetarian option, then to the electronic district with anime and games our kids enjoyed. She introduced us to fun treats and shops in Shibuya. Yuriko is expert at finding great photo spots. The highlight for us all was the Emperor's palace, where Yuriko knew that a normally restricted area would be open for cherry blossom viewing. The palace grounds are a beautiful oasis steeped in history.
We only wish we had more time to spend with Yuriko, and will definitely seek her out if we're fortunate enough to return to Tokyo.
Japan Wonder Travel was also great to deal with - they made planning the tour very easy. I highly recommend this organization and Yuriko.

Did a walking tour of the Imperial Palace East Garden and Meiji Jingu Shrine with our guide Nanako. She was so pleasant to be be with and very informative. We were very lucky to see a traditional wedding at the shrine and Nanako was there to explain to us all about traditional weddings. She made our time here in Japan a very memorable and pleasurable one. Nanako went over and above to meet our needs and was able to help with how to use the subway to get to other places of interest even after our tour was over. We would not have been able to do it with out her.

What a wonderful tour! We thought we'd hit the normal sight seeing stops but as we chatted with Yoshie, she recommended some wonderful spots to find modern art. We began with a lovely walk in the Sakura lined street near Meguro river and honestly, I couldn't stop similing! We saw Meiji Shrine and then went off the beaten path to find Yoshitomo Nara merch and Yayoi Kusama prints. We enjoyed chatting with Yoshie and her willingness to change course and take us to places that felt unique to our interests. Highly recommend.

I had a most wonderful tour with Yoshie. She was very knowledgeable and kind and taught me a lot about Japanese culture and history. She showed me all the sights I wanted to see, including magnificent Sakura, and expertly laid out the itinerary so that we could make the most of our time. An added bonus surprise was seeing a traditional wedding procession and Omiyamairi at Meiji Jingu. It was a fantastic and memorable day. Thank you so much Yoshie!

We had a great tour guide to show us around the city of Tokyo, before going solo for a week.
Tomo, was kind, fun, easy to talk with, she showed us places we would have never gone to alone. This was such a nice day to spend getting familiar with this big city and even better she gave us an A+ tour and lesson on the subway and train system.
Thank you Tomo for a great, informational, enjoyable day.

Amigo did a wonderful job showing us around Tokyo. He was helpful, knowledgeable and our family felt very comfortable with him. In fact, if we travel to Japan again, we will call Amigo to be our guide. Wonderful day!

My private tour of Tokyo was outstanding. I was traveling solo for the Tokyo Marathon and arranged for a half day tour with Sachimi. She was absolutely excellent. Sachimi customized my tour based on what I wanted to see and provided valuable insights along the way! This was perfect for my 2nd day in Tokyo - it really helped me get acclimated and learn about and how to navigate the city. Sachimi is so knowledgeable, shared customs and traditions with me, and provided for the perfect day. I would highly recommend this tour as well as Sachimi! Thank you!

Yeonmi, my private tour guide, was fabulous! I highly recommend Yeonmi, and this tour. She was extremely knowledgeable on all subject matters, no question too silly. A great intro to Tokyo ncluding shrine and subway etiquette. Without this great tour, I don’t think o would have enjoyed or even appreciated the unique and rich cultural history and atmosphere of Tokyo. Yeonmi’s great personality and thoughtfulness was much appreciated.

Japan Wonder Travel was very responsive and accommodating via email and got me scheduled for a tour of Tokyo on December 23. I got in from Narita, and Kazu, my guide, met me at the Shibuya train station. He was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about all things Tokyo. I was impressed that he managed to show me so much (Shibuya, Harajuku, and Shinjuku) within a very limited timeframe. He listened to my concern about getting back to Narita in time for my last hotel shuttle and made sure I got on the right bus (a much cheaper option than taking the train back during that time of the night), thanks Kazu:) I am very satisfied with the service and looking forward to joining another tour hosted by Japan Wonder Travel in the future.
